THE SID ROMÁN LAW HISPANIC STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP
The goal of the Sid Roman Law American Dream Scholarship is to provide the technology tools necessary for Hispanic, Latino, and ESOL students to succeed in college. Our firm awards one or more Laptop(s) valued at $1,000 or more to one or more deserving Orange County Public Schools Senior(s) who meet the eligibility requirements. We have typically awarded three (3) laptops per year.
We established this scholarship in 2019 after identifying a significant need among the local Hispanic student community. Prior to 2019, we had awarded Eagle Scout and a Law School Student scholarships. We are certain that there can be no better investment than in the future of deserving young people who have the drive and work ethic to pursue their dream of attending college, but may not have the financial means to realize it.​

Eligibility Requirements

Senior of Hispanic/Latino heritage at any Orange County Public High School graduate
-
3.0 Unweighted GPA or higher on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent)
-
Accepted to and enrolled to attend an accredited two or four-year college
-
In good standing with his/her/their Orange County Public High School

Applicants will be evaluated and winner(s) will be selected based on the following criteria:

2024 Scholarship Applications are now open (click on links below)! Application deadline is 5:00 p.m. on April 15, 2024. Completed applications should be submitted to pia@sidroman.com. Finalists will be selected and contacted for an interview by April 19, and winners will be notified of their selection on or about April 26, 2024.
